Turning a single-VPS Coolify install into a production-ready platform
What we deliver
Multi-server Coolify architecture & EU cloud provisioning
Separate the Coolify control plane from dedicated build servers and production application/database nodes on Hetzner, OVHcloud, Scaleway, or bare metal—provisioned reproducibly with Terraform/OpenTofu.
Migration from Vercel, Heroku, Render & SaaS tools
Migrate Next.js, Astro, Python/FastAPI, Django, Rails, and Docker Compose workloads with zero-downtime Traefik/Cloudflare cutovers, PR preview environments, and GitHub/GitLab Actions pipelines.
Production hardening of Coolify template stacks
Deploy and harden high-value open-source services on Coolify—Supabase, n8n (with queue workers), Directus, Plausible, LiteLLM/Open WebUI, PostGIS, and Keycloak—with custom Compose overrides, resource limits, and tested S3 restore drills.
Engineering standards in production
How we eliminate single-VPS failure modes on Coolify
Isolated build & database nodes
Prevent heavy Nixpacks or Docker builds from starving production PostgreSQL or web containers of memory and CPU.
Network security, SSH hardening & zero-trust access
Lock down port 8000 and SSH behind WireGuard/Tailscale or Cloudflare Access, enforce UFW/cloud firewalls, and isolate Docker networks per project or client tenant.
Automated encrypted S3 backups & monitoring
Scheduled PostgreSQL/MySQL logical dumps and volume snapshots to external S3 storage, paired with Grafana, Prometheus, or Beszel/Uptime Kuma alerting.
When engagement makes sense
Exiting runaway PaaS and SaaS bills
When per-seat, bandwidth, and per-dyno costs on Vercel, Heroku, Render, or Zapier have outgrown your budget—and you want predictable European server economics without losing Git-push velocity.
GDPR & European data residency without Kubernetes overhead
When your team needs full EU data sovereignty on Hetzner or OVHcloud, but a full multi-cluster Kubernetes control plane would be operational overkill for your team size.
Deploying a cohesive open-source internal stack
When you want n8n, Supabase/PostgreSQL, Directus, Plausible, and internal AI tools running together with shared SSO, private networking, and unified backups.
FAQ
-
When should a team choose Coolify vs Kubernetes?
Coolify is ideal for startups, agencies, and mid-sized product teams (1–30 engineers) that want Git-push deploys, preview environments, and Docker Compose services across 2–15 servers without hiring dedicated Kubernetes SREs. When you need dynamic multi-node auto-scaling, complex service meshes, or GPU cluster scheduling, we transition you to Kubernetes.
-
Are Coolify's one-click templates safe to use in production as-is?
One-click templates are a great starting point, and Coolify copies each template into your service so upstream catalog changes never overwrite your running config. For production, however, templates like Supabase, n8n, or Directus still need pinned image tags, memory limits, external S3 backups, and proper secret rotation—which we configure for you.
-
How do you handle zero-downtime deployments on Coolify?
We configure healthcheck endpoints in your Dockerfiles/Compose stacks alongside Traefik rolling container replacement so new builds only receive traffic once health probes pass.
-
Can you hand over the Coolify platform to our developers?
Yes. The primary advantage of Coolify is that product engineers can operate it day to day. We set up the underlying servers, firewalls, backups, and CI/CD templates, then hand over full control with clear runbooks.
